Threading – repair or restore?

If you need to repair damaged or worn threading, you can use a thread repair kit. This kit - containing all the necessary tools - makes it easy to repair broken threading.

If you wish to repair internal threading, it is best to use Phan Coils. See the five benefits of using Phan Coils further down in this blog.

If threading in your workpiece is damaged or out of gauge, internal threading can easily be repaired using Phantom Phan Coils or inserts made from stainless steel.

What is threading?

Threading is a groove or spiral backing made inside a hole to allow a bolt to be threaded in so that it is fastened down. After a while or after frequent fastening and loosening, the threading may start to wear out.
